Answer:

a.0.87sec

b.1.93m

c.2.22m/s

Explanation:

First, let write the general equation describing the equation of a wave and compare parameters.

y(x,t)=Acos(kx-wt)\\

where A is the wave amplitude,

           K is the wave number=\frac{2\pi }{wavelength}

           <em>W </em>is the angular frequency =\frac{2\pi }{period}

a.Since period is the minimum time for each complete cycle of the wave, we are asked to determine the period

comparing the general equation with the giving wave equation

y(x,t)=6mmcos(3.25m^{-1}x-7.22rads^{-1} t)\\ we can conclude that the angular frequency value is 7.22rad/s

hence w=\frac{2\pi }{period}\\Period=\frac{2\pi }{w}\\Period=\frac{2\pi }{7.22} \\Period=0.87sec

Hence the minimum time for each complete cycle of the wave is 0.87sec

b. Since wavelength is define as the distance between adjacent crests or trough of the wave, we are ask to find the wavelength

comparing the general equation with the giving wave equation

y(x,t)=6mmcos(3.25m^{-1}x-7.22rads^{-1} t)\\ we can conclude that the wave number value is 3.25

Hence K=\frac{2\pi }{wavelength}\\Wavelength=\frac{2\pi }{K} \\Wavelength=\frac{2\pi }{3.25} \\Wavelength=1.93m.

Hence the distance between adjacent crests of the wave is 1.93m.

c. To determine the speed of the wave we us the equation

speed=\frac{wavelength}{period}\\ Speed=\frac{1.93}{0.87} \\Speed=2.22m/s.

Hence the wave travel at a speed of 2.22m/s

Define output work and input work
Olenka [21]

Answer: Input work is the work done on a machine as the input force acts through the input distance.Other ways it would be the work done on a body or system, that is, forces that are applied to the body or system. This is in contrast to output work which is a force that is applied by the body or system to something else.Output work is the work done by a machine as the output force acts through the output distance. The machine does to the object to increase the output distance.

Un movil avanza a 20 m/s y recorre una distancia de 800 km. Determinar el tiempo en horas que utiliza
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

t = 11.1 hours

Explanation:

The question says that, "A mobile advances at 20 m / s and travels a distance of 800 km. Determine the time in hours you use".

Given that,

Speed of a mobile, v = 20 m/s = 72 km/h

Distance, d = 800 km

We know that,

Speed = distance/time

So,

t=\dfrac{d}{v}\\\\t=\dfrac{800}{72}\\\\t=11.1\ h

So, it will take 11.1 hours.

The spectral distribution of the radiation emitted by a diffuse surface may be approximated as follows. HW 2 Q2 (a) What is the
Ronch [10]

Answer:

a)<em> 2000 W/m²  </em><em>; </em>b) 636.94 W/m<em>².sr ; </em><em>c) </em>0.5

Explanation:

a)

The formula for calculation of total emissive power is:

Total emissive power = E = \int\limits^\alpha_0 E'<em>λdλ</em>

<em>                                    </em>= \int\limits^a_0(0)d<em>λ + </em>\int\limits^b_a(100)d<em>λ + </em>\int\limits^c_b(200)d<em>λ + </em>\int\limits^d_c(100)d<em>λ </em>\int\limits^e_d(0)d<em>λ</em>

<em>where a = 5; b = 10; c = 15; d = 20; e = 25</em>

<em>                                    = 0 +100(10-5) + 200(15-10) +100(20-15) + 0</em>

<em>                                    = 2000 W/m²</em>

b)

The formula for total intensity of radiation is:

I_{e} = E/π = 200/3.14 = 636.94 W/m<em>².sr  </em>

<em>c)</em>

Fo submissive power leaving the surface in range π/4 ≤θ≤π/2

[E(π/4 ≤θ≤π/2)]/E = \int\limits^f_0\int\limits^g_0\int\limits^i_h Icosθsinθ dθdΦdλ

where f = infinity, g=2π, h=π/4, i=π/2

By simplifying, we get

                           = (-1/2)[cos(2π/2)-cos(2π/2)]

                           = -0.5(-1-0)

                           =0.5
