A 18.4-kg box rests on a frictionless ramp with a 16.1° slope. The mover pulls on a rope attached to the box to pull it up the i

ncline. If the rope makes an angle of 43.2° with the horizontal, what is the smallest force F the mover will have to exert to move the box up the ramp?

Answer:

F= 56,1 N :

Explanation:

We apply Newton's first law for balancing forces system.

We take the x axis in the direction of the ramp with a 16.1° slope.

∑Fx= 0

∑Fx: algebraic sum of forces ( + to the right, - to the left)

Problem development:

Look at the free body diagram :

The only forces that act on the box are the weight and tension of the rope because there is no friction.

T: Rope tension (N)

W :Box weight (N)

∑Fx= 0

Tx-Wx=0

Tx =Tcos( 43.2°- 16.1°)= Tcos ( 27.1°)

Wx= W*sen  16.1°= m*g*sen  16.1°=18.4*9.8* sen  16.1° = 50N

Tcos ( 27.1°)-50=0

Tcos ( 27.1°) = 50

T = (50) / (cos ( 27.1°))

T = 56,1 N

T=F= 56,1 N

Answer:

at y=6.29 cm the charge of the two distribution will be equal.

Explanation:

Given:

linear charge density on the x-axis, \lambda_1=8\times 10^{-6}\ C

linear charge density of the other charge distribution, \lambda_2=-6\times 10^{-6}\ C

Since both the linear charges are parallel and aligned by their centers hence we get the symmetric point along the y-axis where the electric fields will be equal.

Let the neural point be at x meters from the x-axis then the distance of that point from the y-axis will be (0.11-x) meters.

<u>we know, the electric field due to linear charge is given as:</u>

E=\frac{\lambda}{2\pi.r.\epsilon_0}

where:

\lambda= linear charge density

r = radial distance from the center of wire

\epsilon_0= permittivity of free space

Therefore,

E_1=E_2

\frac{\lambda_1}{2\pi.x.\epsilon_0}=\frac{\lambda_2}{2\pi.(0.11-x).\epsilon_0}

\frac{\lambda_1}{x} =\frac{\lambda_2}{0.11-x}

\frac{8\times 10^{-6}}{x} =\frac{6\times 10^{-6}}{0.11-x}

x=0.0629\ m

∴at y=6.29 cm the charge of the two distribution will be equal.

Which statement describes between a cup if cold water and a cup of boiling water
marishachu [46]
The thermal energy keeps these two changing their temperature over time.

The surrounding temperature (environment) clearly effects the cold water AND the boiling water.

Eventually, both would reach an equilibrium in temperature. <span />
