An electric flux of 147 N*m^2/C passes through a flat horizontal surface that has an area of 0.824 m^2. The flux is due to a uni
Tresset [83]

Answer:231.16 N/C

Explanation:

Given

Electric Flux=147 N-m^2/C

Area(A)=0.824 m^2

Given Field point above 31.6 ^{\circ}

Therefore angle between Area vector Electric Field =90-31.6=58.4^{\circ}

We know that Flux is given by

\phi =\vec{E}\cdot \vec{A}

\phi =EAcos\theta

147=E\times 0.824\times cos(58.4)

E=231.16 N/C

Which are causes of mechanical weathering? (check all that apply)
solmaris [256]

The correct answers are:

B. plant growth;

C. animal actions;

The mechanical weathering is a type of weathering where physical force is included into the breaking up of the rocks. The plants and the animals are both causing this type of weathering with their actions. The plants can cause mechanical weathering with their roots, as they grow and surround a rock, they are able to create such a pressure that they can break the rock apart. Also, as their trunks are getting bigger, if there's rocks right next to them, the pressure from the growing of the trunk will crack the rocks. The animals are able to move the rocks, as well as pushing them, or even deliberately throwing them, so they manage to break up parts of them and cause mechanical weathering.

DaniilM [7]

Answer:

Fx = 35.36 N

Fy = 35.36 N

Explanation:

From the question,

The X component of the force is

Fx = Fcos∅.................. Equation 1

Where Fx = X component of the force, F = Force, ∅ = Angle to the horizontal.

Give: F = 50 N, ∅ = 45°

Substitute into equation 1

Fx = 50(cos45°)

Fx = 50(0.7071)

Fx = 35.36 N

Similarly,

For Y component

Fy = Fsin∅

Where F y = Y component

Fy = 50(sin45°)

Fy = 50(0.7071)

Fy = 35.36 N

The planets spun in epicycles.
