Answer:

<u>s=150m</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Using slope intercept form, you can come p with the equation, <u>s=150m</u> where 150 is the savings per month and you were not given a starting point which would be y.

y=mx+b

<u>s=150m</u>

The given function is,

f(x)= \frac{2x-1}{x+5}.

Or, y= \frac{2x-1}{x+5}

To find the inverse of a function, first step is to switch x and y. Therefore,

x= \frac{2y-1}{y+5}

Next stpe is to solve the above equation for y t get the inverse f f(x). Hence, multiply each sides by y + 5 to get rid of fraction form. So,

x*(y+5)= \frac{2y-1}{y+5}*(y+5)

xy + 5x = 2y - 1

xy = 2y - 1 - 5x Subtract 5x from each sides to isolate y.

xy - 2y = -5x - 1 Subtract 2y from each sides.

y(x - 2) = -5x -1 Take out the common factor y.

\frac{y(x-2)}{(x-2)} =\frac{(-5x-1)}{(x-2)} Divide each sides by x-2.

y=\frac{(-5x-1)}{(x-2)}

So, f^-1(x)=\frac{-5x-1}{x-2}

Now when we will compare f^-1(x)=\frac{-5x-1}{x-2} with f^-1(x)=\frac{ax+b}{cx+d} then we will get a = -5, b = -1, c = 1 and d=-2

So, \frac{a}{c} =\frac{-5}{1} =-5

Hope this helps you!

Enter the value of p so the expression 5/6-1/3n is equivalent to p(5-2n)?
inna [77]
P needs to be something that is multiplied through 5-2n to equal 5/6-1/3n.  Since you see that there is a 5 of somesort in both equations an easy place to start is simply making p=1/6.  Once you do that then 5*1/6=5/6 so the first part is okay. Then 2n*1/6=2n/6 which is able to be reduced to n/3.
Based on this it is clear that p should equal 1/6.

This expression is a perfect square trinomial. It has two answers but they don't have to be different. In this case it has to be the same - because it is a perfect square trinomial.

80 points! Look at pic attached. I will mark brainiest if you explain your reasoning good. Random answers will be reported.
gregori [183]

Answer: No, your friend is not correct. You cannot use a similarity transformation to turn a square into a rectangle. Here's why:

1) If you used a similarity transformation, the size and position of the shape would change, but the shape itself remains the same.

2) Squares and rectangles are NOT similar.* Referring to the first point I listed, if the shapes are not similar, then a similarity transformation cannot be used to turn one shape into another.

<em>*Similar means that the edges are proportional to one another, such as a square with sides of 4 meters vs a square with sides of 2 meters: the sides are different lengths, but the shape is the same.</em>

I hope this helps! Please feel free to comment below if you need any clarification. Have a good day, and good luck on your assignment. :)
