Part C:
Assume $x is what Laura's earn in one hour.
Jess earns in one hour is: j = $x - $2.90

Part D:
Jess earns in 20 hours:
20 * ($x - $2.90) = $20x - $58 (I.e. Jess earns $58 less than Laura)

A cyclist is travelling at an average speed of 15km/HR. How long will it take to travel a distance of 52 1/2km
vitfil [10]

Answer:

3.5hour

Step-by-step explanation:

Average speed = Distance/Time

Given

Distance = 52 1/2 km

Speed = 15km/hr

Required

Time

Substitute the given values in the formula

Time = (52 1/2)/15

Time= 105/2 * 1/15

Time = 105/30

Time  = 3.5hour

hence it will take 3.5hr to travel a distance of 52 1/2km

What is the projectile motion formula
Sergio039 [100]
A projectile is an object that is given an initial velocity, and is acted on by gravity. The path the object follows is determined by these effects (ignoring are resistance). The path is the object's trajectory. The trajectory has horizontal (x) and vertical (y) components.

How do I do this problem
Lena [83]

First you multiply 3 times x and 3 times 2

4(3(x + 2) -1) =50

and get

4( 3x +6 -1) =50

then you add 6 plus -1

4 ( 3x +5) = 50

then multiply 4 times 3x and 4 times 5

12x +20 = 50 and subtract 20 from both sides

       -20    -20

and you will get

12x = 30

divided both sides by 12

12x/12 = 30/12

then you find the ones that are the same amount in decimals but are smaller

and that's your answer: x= 5/2

hope you get it!!!

A lawn mower is pushed a distance of 100 ft. Along a horizontal path by a constant force of 60 lbs. Yhe handle of the lawn mower
olga2289 [7]
For this case we have the following equation:
w = || F || • || PQ || costheta
Where,
|| F ||: force vector module
|| PQ ||: distance module
costheta: cosine of the angle between the force vector and the distance vector.
Substituting values:
w = (60) * (100) * (cos (45))
w = 4242.640687 lb.ft
Answer:

The work done pushing the lawn mower is:
w = 4242.640687 lb.ft

I = $1,200 * 8/100 * 240/360 =
Lisa [10]
The correct answer is:

$64.

Explanation:

We will mulitiply the first two numbers first.

We will first write 1200 as a fraction by putting it over 1:
1200/1 * 8/100.
We now multiply straight across: (1200*8)/(1*100) = 9600/100 = 96.

Now we will multiply this by the last fraction. Again we will make the whole number, 96, a fraction by placing it over 1:
(96/1)*(240/360).

Again we multiply straight across: (96*240)/(1*360)=23040/360.

When we divide this out, we get 64.
