Answer:

Distractions

Explanation:

If a student doesn't listen to music while doing homework there's a 50/50 percent chance that they wont pass the class because they had a hard time focusing on their work because of all the distractions they were surrounded by.

Possible affects:

1.) In my own experience, music motivates me whenever I do any kind of job and espacially my homework. Whenever I take tests, quizzes, or lessons, while listening to music, it boosts my motivation by double. I finish my work faster and easier.

2.) For some students music is a distraction. If they focus too much on the music, then it will take them longer to do their homework. Image a student catching in to his favorite music or author. They will be too excited to listen to their music, they will screw their homework. But this accounts for certain students.

3.) Overall it matters if the person enjoys listening to music or not. Scientists and research claim that music's energizing effects comes from its ability to engage the body's sympathetic nervous system. This lets your brain to focus sending signals constantly. The best part, if you are doing a boring task like doing your worst subject, music will light things up. It will change from boring to easy, fun, and enjoyable.
