British explorer Henry Hudson made his third voyage to the "New World" in 1609. What was the BIGGEST obstacle he faced on this j
GrogVix [38]

Believed to have been born in the late 16th century, English explorer Henry Hudson made two unsuccessful sailing voyages in search of an ice-free passage to Asia. In 1609, he embarked on a third voyage funded by the Dutch East India Company that took him to the New World and the river that would be given his name. On his fourth voyage, Hudson came upon the body of water that would later be called the Hudson Bay.

The third voyage was the worst. When some members of Henry Hudson's crew set off to find food on the shore, the First Nations attacked them and killed one of Henry Hudson's men. The man that died was one of the most important men on the ship. He would keep watch to see if there were chunks of ice up ahead and if there were dead ends. On his last voyage, Henry Hudson encountered the menacing  ice. This ice was so thick that his boat was stuck. By the time the ice melted and the boat was free, his unhappy crew plotted against him and set him adrift in a boat with his son and a few other crew members

What are the problems with a strong Central government and a small limited government? What is the solution
xeze [42]
Hiya,

A strong Central government is bad because if the government releases a law that just so happens to be bad, it will apply to everyone and this could be horrible for the whole country. If state decisions are bad, it won't hurt the whole nation but only that said state. People fear a strong Central government might even overpower small state governments and lose independence.

Now the trouble with a limited government is that it takes time to make decisions and fraud can easily happen. With a limited government there is also limited happiness.

A solution to this would be to just have a little bit of both. Limited government can increase fairness and give more freedom and power to their people and kick out the terrible leaders whereas a strong central government you can also have the security and freedom.

Hope this helps, government was never fun tbh.

Plantation owners in america often argues that enslaved africans were better off becuase they did not have the mental capacity t
In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

It is undoubtedly wrong and a very racist mentally. As it offends all the humanity as one. Each human being holds the same capacity as any other being inside a society. But, the plantation owners were not the only one to blame for having such an ill mentality but it was mainly due to the factors which made them to think in such a way. The people around them when they were little treated others on basis of color they had, so they were wrong and this is just false that a person of a specific race having a white skin has an edge over the others. As they were brainwashed by their society and elders to consider black people as inferior to them in regards to mentality level.

Explanation:

As we know that there are different factors which makes up a person character. And some of the factors are which makes up a person is due to the up bringing of an individual in a given environment  by his or her elders.

Along with that the factors from the social interactions with other beings has a great influence on a person character as a whole, so it was all some unfortunate acts which lead them to think in such a racist way about others.
