D ( AC ) = 6  ( because A and C have the same y-coordinate )
d ( AB ) = √[(x2 - x1)² + (y2 - y1)²],
where A ( x1, y1 ) = ( -3, 1 )   and B ( x2, y2 ) = ( -1, 3 )
d ( AB ) = √[(-1 -(-3))² + (3 - 1 )²] = √[(-2)² + 2²] = √8 = 2√2
d ( BC ) = √[(3-(-1))² + (1-3)² =√[4² + (-2)²]= √20 = 2√5
The perimeter of ΔABC:
6 + 2√2 + 2√5 = 6 + 2 · 1.41 + 2 · 2.24 =
= 6 + 2.82 + 4.48 = 13.30

A normal distribution has a mean of 50 and standard deviation of 5. Which value produces a negative z-score?
zimovet [89]

Answer:

x\:.

Step-by-step explanation:

The z-score for a normal distribution is calculated using the formula:

Z=\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}.

From the question, the distribution has a mean of 50.

\implies \mu=50 and the standard deviation is \sigma=5.

For a z-score to be negative, then, \frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}\:.

\frac{x-50}{5}\:.

x-50\:.

x-50\:.

x\:.

\therefore x\:.

Any value less than 50 will produce a negative z-score

Find a function of the form
atroni [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The amplitude is 6, so A=6.

Also, the midline is y=-3, so C=-3.

The period is 10, so 2pi/k = 10 -> k=5.

Now we need to determine if this is a sine graph or a cosine graph. As the y-intercept is not the value of C, we can determine that this is a cosine graph, and thus y=6cos(5x)-3.
