Find the missing numbers 85,95, _ ,100,105, _

At first I thought this was an arithmetic sequence.  Adding 10 to 85 produces 95.  Adding 10 to 95 produces 105.  But I don't see where that 100 came from.  Double check, please, to ensure that you have copied down the entire original problem and done it correctly.

Note that 85 plus 5 is 90; 90 plus 5 is 95; 95 plus 5 is 100; 100 plus 5 is 105.
This is just an example to show you one possibility.

This is an arith. sequence ONLY IF you add the SAME number each time to find the next term of the sequence.

find the t values that form the boundaries of the critical region for a two-tailed test with a=.05 for n=6 n=12
AlexFokin [52]

Answer:

n=6

"=T.INV(1-0.025,5)", and we got the critical values given by: t_{critical}=\pm 2.5706

n=12

"=T.INV(1-0.025,11)", and we got the critical values given by: t_{critical}=\pm 2.201

Step-by-step explanation:

Previous concepts

The t distribution (Student’s t-distribution) is a "probability distribution that is used to estimate population parameters when the sample size is small (n<30) or when the population variance is unknown".

The shape of the t distribution is determined by its degrees of freedom and when the degrees of freedom increase the t distirbution becomes a normal distribution approximately.

The degrees of freedom represent "the number of independent observations in a set of data. For example if we estimate a mean score from a single sample, the number of independent observations would be equal to the sample size minus one."

Solution to the problem

For n=6

In order to find the critical value we need to take in count that we are conducting a two tailed test, so we are looking on the t distribution with df=n-1=6-1=5 degrees of freedom, a value that accumulates 0.05/2=0.025 of the area on each tail. We can use excel or a table to find it, for example the code in Excel is:

"=T.INV(1-0.025,5)", and we got the critical values given by: t_{critical}=\pm 2.5706

For n=12

In order to find the critical value we need to take in count that we are conducting a two tailed test, so we are looking on the t distribution with df=n-1=12-1=11 degrees of freedom, a value that accumulates 0.05/2=0.025 of the area on each tail. We can use excel or a table to find it, for example the code in Excel is:

"=T.INV(1-0.025,11)", and we got the critical values given by: t_{critical}=\pm 2.201

Can someone please help and show workings...
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

15>x>9

Step-by-step explanation:

There are two rules about triangle sides.

1) The two shortest sides must add up to a length bigger than the longest side, also known as the hypothenuse

2) The hypothenuse is the longest side of the triangle

In other words, x and 6 must add up to a number that's less than 15 because 15 is longest side, but must be more than 9. So x can be any value between 9 and 15

The average polar bear weighs 1,200 pounds. The average grizzly bear weighs 800 pounds. The average black bear weighs 400 pounds
worty [1.4K]
In order to find the answer, you would need to divide 1,200 by 400, which equals 3. So, the average polar bear is 3 times larger in weight than the average black bear

Unfortunately, solving: < 2. {x | x > - } {x | x < - } {x | x > } {x | x < } is impossible.
