1) Increased frequency and intensity of precipitation (rainfall) events because of higher concentration of water vapor.
2) There might also be an increase in water runoff into rivers, streams and other bodies of water.
3) Because of warm temperature, there will be increased drying of land areas in different parts of the world.

Answer:

Global warming is an effect on our planet that is caused by carbon dioxide being trapped in our atmosphere. When the carbon dioxide is trapped, it is bouncing off the bottom layer of the clouds. Some escapes into outer space, but most of it stays. We cause global warming, by using vehicles, making asphalt, burning fossil fuels, and many more.

An effect of global warming is our poles oceans are melting. When our polar caps melt most of the way, we will experience a lot of flooding for many coastal cities. We will also experience extreme weather, like stronger hurricanes, larger thunderstorms, and larger areas effected by other natural disasters.

One thing we can do to stop or slow down these effects is to use vehicles less (or make better vehicles for the environment), stop burning fossil fuels, and make a world-wide law to prevent certain things from commencing. Nuclear bombs are also a problem to global warming. We will hopefully never reach that problem.

If global warming were to continue, we would be in a world of hurt, figuratively and literally. All of our coastal cities would be flooded, we would be devastated by horrible natural disasters, and our would would become slowly toxic. Also, our Earth would get unbearably hot, making most places unlivable, and normally freezing places, like Siberia, would become the last habitable places to live.

Sorry if this explanation is too long. I am just very good at answering this question.

Danny drew a ray diagram to show the image of a plastic bottle produced by a concave lens. Which describes how the bottle should
kari74 [83]
The correct answer is: The image of the bottle should appear larger than the actual bottle.

A concave mirror is a kind of lens that diverges towards the center, creating its focus into a reflected image that is larger in size. This is the reason why concave mirrors are known as divergent mirrors because the way the lens is constructed diverges in the middle.

Explain the physics of light as it relates to photosynthesis. What is a pigment, what is a photon?
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Explanation:

photosynthesis, the process by which green plants and certain other organisms transform light energy into chemical energy. During photosynthesis in green plants, light energy is captured and used to convert water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen and energy-rich organic compounds.

a pigment is the natural colouring matter of animal or plant tissue.

a photon is a particle representing a quantum of light or other electromagnetic radiation. A photon carries energy proportional to the radiation frequency but has zero rest mass.

Why was it important for Miller and Urey to sterilized the apparatus to kill any bacteria in it?
valentina_108 [34]

Answer:

Having bacteria would produce organic molecules and defeat the whole purpose of the experiment which is to make organic molecules from inorganic molecules. The experiment was supposed to demonstrate the formation of the first organic molecules that initiated life on primordial earth. It is believed that lightning powered the formation of the first simple amino acids, like glycine, from the primordial atmosphere which was mainly composed of carbon dioxide and methane.
