Dimethyl sulfoxide was found to be effective for extraction of Coomassie Brilliant Blue R-250 (Coomassie R) from stained proteins on polyacrylamide gel slices. A good correlation was found between the ability of different proteins to bind Coomassie R and their capacity for interaction with Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250 (Coomassie G) in solution. Scatchard analysis showed that the number of Coomassie R ligands bound to each protein molecule is approximately proportional to the number of positive charges on the protein, about 1.5-3 dye. chegg e. coli has to be grown in the presence of to the lac operon. group of answer choices lactose: repress lactose: induce glu
zhuklara [117]

The lac operon of E. coli contains genes involved in lactose metabolism. It's expressed only when lactose is present and glucose is absent.

How is the lac operon triggered by E. coli?

The lac operon of E. coli contains genes related to lactose metabolism. Only when lactose and glucose levels are low does it manifest symptoms. Two regulators that control the operon's "on" and "off" states in response to lactose and glucose concentrations are lac repressor and catabolite activator protein (CAP).

Why does E. coli prefer glucose to lactose?

Because it promotes quicker development than other sugars and is the first sugar to be consumed in sugar combinations, glucose is frequently the best carbon source for E. coli.

do the allele symbols on the outside of the punnett square you drew in part (b) represent alleles in gametes or in body cells? e
kherson [118]

The allele symbols on the outside of the punnett square represent the alleles in the gametes . Because when we done cross we got the gametes only . Example AABB X aabb , then we got the gametes AB and ab . This represent AB and ab are the alles of the gamete only . A allele is the alternative form of gene , if one is dominant other one is recessive.
