y=mx+b
m=slope
b=y-intercept:

We Know the slope (m=2)and we have a point (4,2) then:
x₀=4
y₀=2
we have to find "b"
y=mx+b
2=2(4)+b
8+b=2
b=2-8
b=-6

Therefore:
if b=-6 and m=2; the equation in slope intercept form would be:
y=2x-6
