Answer: False

Explanation:

pH or pOH is the measure of acidity or alkalinity of a solution.

pH is calculated by taking negative logarithm of hydrogen ion concentration.

Acids have pH ranging from 1 to 6.9, bases have pH ranging from 7.1 to 14 and neutral solutions have pH equal to 7.

pH=-\log [H^+]

pOH=-\log[OH^-]

When the concentration of [H^+]=[OH^-], the solution is neutral, H^+> OH^- , the solution is acidic and if H^+< OH^- , the solution is basic.

Calculate the partial pressure of the CO2 in the expired air at its peak, assuming 1 atm pressure and a body temperature of 37∘C
kvasek [131]

Answer:

P2= 45.50 atm

Explanation:

If the amount of gas in the tanks remains same we use the equation P1T1=P2T2

40 x 281.15 = P2 x 247.15

P2= 45.50 atm

Answer:

The answer to your question is     V2 = 4.97 l

Explanation:

Data

Volume 1 = V1 = 4.40 L                    Volume 2 =

Temperature 1 = T1 = 19°C               Temperature 2 = T2 = 37°C

Pressure 1 = P1 = 783 mmHg           Pressure 2 = 735 mmHg

Process

1.- Convert temperature to °K

T1 = 19 + 273 = 292°K

T2 = 37 + 273 = 310°K

2.- Use the combined gas law to solve this problem

                  P1V1/T1  = P2V2/T2

-Solve for V2

                  V2 = P1V1T2 / T1P2

-Substitution

                  V2 = (783 x 4.40 x 310) / (292 x 735)

-Simplification

                 V2 = 1068012 / 214620

-Result

                 V2 = 4.97 l

If you were asked to convert 4.2 × 1022 atoms of aluminum to moles, which of the following should you use for the conversion?
gregori [183]
You should use Avogadro’s number for the conversion, because Avogadro’s Law states that there are 6.02 x 10^23 atoms per 1 mol of that substance.

How much heat is given off when you freeze 95.7 g of water?
vazorg [7]

Answer:

Hey kimalonzo59!

· Calculate specific heat as c = Q / (mΔT). In our example, it will be equal to c = -63,000 J / (5 kg * -3 K) = 4,200 J/ (kg·K). This is the typical heat capacity of water.
