so 300/12 because there are 12 months in a year

300/12=25

so 25 checks are written each month.

25 x .15= $3.75

this is the fee for writing all the checks for that month.

72-3.75=68.25 and that's your service fee you just had to take off the fee for writing all the checks that month

RUDIKE [14]
Hi there! I can help you! Okay. The numbers are separate from each other. One is negative and the other is positive. To solve this problem, let’s find the absolute value of both numbers and add them up. The absolute value is a number’s distance from 0 and the answer is always positive. The absolute value of -7 is 7. The absolute value of 3 is 3. 7 + 3 = 10. The distance between -7 and 3 is 10. The answer is D: 10.

Yon buys tickets to a concert for himself and a friend. There is a tax of 6% on the price of the tickets and an additional booki
user100 [1]
Well, I assume that both tickets cost the same: let's call it x.

So the tickets cost 106%x (the cost of the ticket plus tax).
The total prize of the tickets will be: 2*106% x+20.

But let's assume that you share it half-half: then each of you pays half of this:

\frac{2*1.06x+20}{2} = 1.06x+10

So, this is how much each of you pays: 1.06x+10
