4 0

Answer: So our equation is \frac{2}{3} *4

Laura does:

\frac{2}{3}*4 = 2*\frac{1}{3}  *4 = 2*\frac{4}{3}  = \frac{4}{3} + \frac{4}{3}  = \frac{8}{3}

while Sean does:

\frac{2}{3}*4 = \frac{2}{3} + \frac{2}{3} +\frac{2}{3}  + \frac{2}{3}  = \frac{8}{3}

So sean sums four times the number 2/3, while Laura sums two times the number 4/3, this is because we are working with a multiplication, and the order of the factors does not alter the product.

The two are splitting the equations in different ways.

Write an equation of the line that passes through the points.<br><br> (2, 5), (0, 5)<br><br> Y =
vodomira [7]
Right off the bat we know that the y-intercept is going to be 5 because of the second co-ordinate.

Now for the slope, because the y co-ordinate doesn't change, it has no slope so the equation is simply: y=5

Hope this helps :)

Find the area of the triangles and smal ler square and add them together ; and find the area of the complete square and set them equal to each other (these are known truths)
triangle: l×w /2
square: s^2
There are 4 triangles so

4 (1/2ab)+c^2= (a+b)(a+b)
simplify

2ab+c^2= a^2+2ab+b^2
-2ab both sides

c^2=a^2+b^2

tada!! it's proven :)
