Answer:

        1

= -----------

   6(x + 7)

Step-by-step explanation:

3x - 21      x^2 - 49

----------- ÷ -------------

18x - 18        x - 1

3x - 21          x - 1

----------- ×  -------------

18x - 18       x^2 - 49

Factor the top left:

3x - 21  = 3(x - 7)

Factor the bottom left:

18x - 18 = 18(x - 1)

Factor the new bottom right:

x^2 - 49 = (x + 7)(x - 7)

Multiply and simplify the faction:

3(x - 7)            x - 1

----------- ×  -----------------

18(x - 1)       (x + 7)(x - 7)

        1

= -------------

   6(x + 7)

Can some one help me with math
hoa [83]
5 is A, because it's the only number that is whole when square rooted.
6 is confusing because it only gives you one number per answer, unless you are to add the two distances together? Then it would be 7 because X's distance is +4 and Y's distance is +3
I do not have an answer for 7
8 is 3.7 (or C)
9 is an easy one. Find out what the L and W is, and since it's a square we only need to find one of them. We square root the area and we are given 14.96662955, if rounded we get 15. So the answer is A
10 I don't understand the "estimate" for a square root number, I was not taught that.

A function follows the rule y = -75 - 5 x . When the function's output is 25, the equation is 25 = -75 - 5 x .
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

The function's input = x = -20

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the function

y = -75 - 5x

Given that the output = y = 25

substituting the value y=25 and solve to find the input 'x'

25 = -75 - 5x

5x = -75-25

5x = -100

Divide bothe side by 5

x = -20

Thus, the function's input = x = -20
