Answer:

The wind speed of the plane in still air is 50m/h

Explanation:

Let p = plane speed in the air

Let w = wind speed.

since d = rt, we can;

625= 2.5(p+w) .............................. eqn1\\\\625 = 4 \frac{1}{6}(p-w)........................... eqn2

(Eqn1) can be simplified further into 250= p+w

In (Eqn2), multiply both sides with the reciprocal of 4\frac{1}{6} which gives us \frac{6}{25}

So we have;

p - w = 150

p + w = 250

2p = 400

p = 200

Put p (200) into p - w = 150;

200 - w = 150

w = 50

Therefore,

The speed of the plane in still air is 200m/h,

The wind speed is 50m/h.

The liquid pressure varies with depth why
Solnce55 [7]

Explanation:

Hey, there!

The liquid pressure varies with depth because liquid pressure is directly proportional to the depth of liquid from the free surface of the liquid. so, more the depth more the pressure and less the depth less the pressure.

Please help!!
Ronch [10]

Answer:

Explanation:

The distance will be the total distannce covered during the journey.

If you move 3 meters East and move 4 meters north, then the distance will be calculated as;

Distance = distnace through East+distance through north

Distance = 3m + 4m

<em>Distance = 7m</em>

Displacement is the distance covered in a specified direction. It is the shortest distance covered by me. This can be gotten using the Pythagoras theorem.

d² = 3²+4²

d² = 9+16

d² = 25

d = √25

d = 5m

<em>Hence the displacement of the object is 5metres</em>

Falling objects drop with an average acceleration of 9.8 m/sec/sec, or 9.8 m /s2. If an object falls from the top of a tall buil
Lena [83]

Use the velocity expression for uniform acceleration and solve for t: v = v0 + at. v0 is zero since the object is at rest. 49 m/s = a(t), and solve for t. t = 49 m/s / 9.8 = 5 seconds.

why does earth orbit the sun rather than any other body in the solar system? a) the mutual repulsions among all the planets hold
ElenaW [278]

Answer: c) the sun is the most massive object; gravitational attraction is related to mass.

Explanation:

Gravitational pull exists between any two objects having mass.

F =\frac{GMm}{r^2}

where symbols have their usual meaning.

All the planets including Earth revolve around the Sun because its the most massive object in the neighborhood and thus has high gravitational pull. This gravitational pull of Sun keeps the Earth in its orbit around it.

Hence, the correct answer is earth orbit the sun rather than any other body in the solar system because c) the sun is the most massive object; gravitational attraction is related to mass.
