Nickel (Ni) has the charge as +3 while oxygen (O) has -2. Hence, the chemical formula for the nickel (iii) oxide is Ni₂O₃.

molar mass of Ni = 58.69 g/mol
molar mass of O = 15.99 g/mol

number of Ni atoms in Ni₂O₃ = 2
Molar mass of Ni in Ni₂O₃ = 2 x 58.69 g/mol = 117.38 g/mol

number of O atoms in Ni₂O₃ = 3
Molar mass of O in Ni₂O₃ = 3 x 15.99 g/mol = 47.97 g/mol

Hence, molar mass of compound = 117.38 g/mol + 47.97 g/mol
                                                          = 165.35 g/mol
                                                          =
165.4 g/mol

Convert 99.0 g Se to moles Se.
Elenna [48]

Answer:

About 1.254 moles

Explanation:

The first step is to find the molar mass of selenium. If you take a look at a periodic table, you will find that there is a little number underneath that says something around 78.96 g/mol. Dividing 99 grams by this number, you get about 1.254 moles of Se. Hope this helps!

Breathing air that contains 4.0% by volume CO2 over time causes rapid breathing, throbbing headache, and nausea, among other sym
7nadin3 [17]

Answer:

1 mole of any ideal gas occupies the same volume as one mole of any other ideal gas under the same conditions of temperature and pressure. So 1 L CO2 has same number of moles as 1 L O2 and 1 L N2 etc. This means that, assuming all the gases in air are ideal gases, if CO2 is 4.0 % by volume then it is also 4.0 % by moles, because a volume of each gas has the same number of moles.
