Population proportion of success p=0.856.

Sample size n= 489

Number of success in the sample x = 438

sample proportion p= x/n = 438 / 489 = 0.895

Population proportion of failure q=1−p = 1- 0.895 = 0.105

putting all these values we can predict the proportion differs from the national percentage.
