1 gallon is 16 cups, so that means that half a gallon is 8 cups. Therefore, from 1 and 1/2 gallons of soup you can get 24 1 cup servings.

Well since there are 16 cups in one gallon and their are 8 cups in a half of a gallon he can make 16 + 8 cups of soup. All you have to do is add 16 + 8 and you would get the answer which is 24

What is the equation of the line that passes through the point (-5,-2) and has a slope of -6/5
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

The answer is

<h2>y = - \frac{6}{5} x - 8 \\</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

To find an equation of a line in point slope form when given the slope and a point we use the formula

y - y_1 = m(x - x_1) \\

where

m is the slope

( x1 , y1) is the point

From the question the point is (-5,-2) and the slope is - 6/5

The equation of the line is

y + 2 = - \frac{6}{5} (x + 5) \\ y + 2 = - \frac{6}{5} x - 6 \\ y = - \frac{6}{5} x - 6 - 2

We have the final answer as

y =  -  \frac{6}{5} x - 8  \\

Hope this helps you

Negation of all owls fly?
Reptile [31]
Looking at this in terms of sets, let's call O the set of all owls, and F the set of all things that can fly. What this original statement is saying every animal that's a member of the set of all owls is also a member of the set of all things that can fly, or in other words, O⊂F (O is a subset of F). Negating this tells us that, while there's <em>at least one</em> element of O that also belongs to F, O is not contained entirely in F (O⊆F, in notation), so a good negation or our original statement might be:

<em>Not all owls can fly.</em>

I need someone to explain functions and functional symmetry to me. This is very important, so if you do not have a legit answer,
dolphi86 [110]

Symmetrical functions can be about the x and y axis. Essentially, if we reflect the graph across the y or x axis, we get the same graph. Some other graphs can be reflected across both the x and y axis at the same time and be symmetrical. These can be classified as odd and even functions. You can test this by replacing x and y with -x and -y and simplify the equation. If the results comes out to be the same as the original, it is symmetrical across the origin.

Best of Luck!
