Simon and his friends are working on an experiment to determine the most common blood type group in California. Which of these m

ethods would be the best form of data collection?
a. Survey their own family members to find out their individual blood types; this data would represent blood type groups in the entire population of California.
b. Survey an area with a high Latino population to find out the blood type of every individual; this data would represent blood type groups in the entire population of California.
c. Offer a free blood–type testing camp in a school laboratory and collect data; this data would represent blood type groups in the entire population of California.

A free blood-type testing camp in a school laboratory because schools are more diverse than your own family and Latino groups so it would be a better representation of the entire population of California. You go to school no matter you're background or race.

Answer:

Option C, Offer a free blood–type testing camp in a school laboratory and collect data; this data would represent blood type groups in the entire population of California.

Explanation:

In order to find the most common blood type group in California , the first step is to define a sample population which shall represent the population composition of California up to the most closest extent.

If Simon and his friend will take sample from their families or from latino group , then the variance in blood groups cannot be captured as people belonging to one hierarchical chain will not have extreme variances in their blood group.

However, if Simon and his friend decide to take sample from their school , then there are high chances that they may capture the blood samples from different groups with in the school which shall represent more or less the different population groups in California.
