The correct answer is:

False.

Explanation:

Two arcs are congruent if and only if their associated chords are congruent.

The associated radii of arcs are the radii of the circles the arcs are in. However, you can have two arcs in one circle that are not congruent. The circle would not have two different radii, but the arcs would not necessarily be congruent.

As the minute hand of a large clock forms an angle of 52, the end of the minute hand traverses a distance of 23.5 inches. find t
Fudgin [204]

The minute hand when moving is swiping a sector

The arc length is given 23.5 inch the angle swiped is 52 degree

we have to find radius

length of arc = 2pi r( theta )/360

23.5 = 2* 3.14 * r ( 52/360)

23.5 = r(0.907)

r= 23.5/ 0.907

r=25.90 inches Answer

Why is -a² is always negative (a ≠ 0) and why is (-a)² is always positive?
hjlf
-a^2=(-1)\cdot a\cdot a

Regardless of the sign of a, we have a\cdot a=a^2\ge0 (never negative). But multiplying by -1 makes it negative.

On the other hand,

(-a)^2=((-1)\cdot a)^2=(-1)^2\cdot a^2=1\cdot a^2=a^2

which can never be negative for real a.

You can run 5 miles in 25 minutes. At this rate, how many miles can you run in 3 hours
kotegsom [21]
Well, if you run 5 miles in 25 minute you run a mile every 5 minutes. So, there is 190 minutes in 3 hours. So we would need to divide 190 by 5 which is 38. So, the person could run 38 miles in 3 hours.
