Codominance occurs when the two alleles of a gene are neither dominant or recessive over one another. As a result, both the alleles are expressed and the phenotype shows the traits of both the alleles of the gene. In the scenario discussed in the question, both brown and white coat were seen in the coats of the rabbits because of co- dominance. Both the alleles were being expressed for the trait colour.
