Answer:

The amount of yellow paint needed to prepare 5 gallons of green paints is \frac{3}{2}  gallon .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The ratio of yellow paint to blue paint = 3 : 7

The total measure of green paint prepare with blue and yellow paint = 5 gallons

So, Let The amount of yellow paint = 3 x

And The amount of blue paint = 7 x

According to question :

The amount of yellow paint + The amount of blue paint = The total measure of green paint

Or, 3 x + 7 x = 5 gallons

Or, 10 x = 5 gallons

∴    x = \frac{5}{10} = \frac{1}{2}

so , The amount of yellow paint = 3 ×  \frac{1}{2} =  \frac{3}{2}  gallon

And The amount of blue paint = 7 ×  \frac{1}{2} =  \frac{7}{2} gallon

Hence The amount of yellow paint needed to prepare 5 gallons of green paints is \frac{3}{2}  gallon . Answer

The minimum and maximum temperature on a cold day in Lollypop Town can be modeled by the equation below: 2|x − 6| + 14 = 38 What
enyata [817]
2|x-6|+14=38
\rightarrow2|x-6|=24
\rightarrow|x-6|=12

There are two cases:
1. x-6=12\rightarrow x=18
2. x-6=-12\rightarrow x=-6

So the minimum temperature is -6, and the maximum is 18.

What uses numbers, variables and operations symbol?
Nutka1998 [239]
Sounds like "formulas"!  y = ax^2 + bx + c   involves the variable x and the constants {a, b, c}.  The "2" indicates "squaring function."
