Compare 2.95 to 2.949

Mathematics
1 answer:
Anarel [89]3 years ago
4 0

Answer:

2.95 is bigger

Step-by-step explanation:

Always remember that each place after the integer in a decimal spot ends are all 0's.

This helps when we are comparing decimals.

In that case we really have:

2.9500 and 2.9490

Since 9500 is bigger than 9490, we can see that the one's digits are the same.

Since they are, 2.95 is the bigger number.

What is the area of the figure?? HELP PLS!!
Alchen [17]
Hi!

I've included an image showing the shape divided into 3 rectangles. We're going to find the area of each rectangle.

To find the area of a rectangle, multiply the length times the width.

The red rectangle:

8 · 9 = 72
The area of the red rectangle is 72in.

The orange rectangles:

The orange rectangles have the same area.
10 · 3 = 30
30 + 30 = 60
The area of both orange rectangles is 60in.

72 + 60 = 132

The answer is 132 square inches.

Hope this helps! :)
