With toddlers, this is sometimes just manipulating the objects. Social Play is any play in which children of the same age interact with each other. The play is structured (meaning there are rules to follow) and it may incorporate elements of pretend or imagination. For example, two children playing house or a group of children playing a game of tag are both examples of social play.
