It take 5 hours for the motorcycle to make the trip.

Step-by-step explanation:

Speed of minivan = 50 mph

Speed of motorcycle = 60 mph

Let,

time taken by motorcycle = x

time taken by minivan = x+1

We know that,

Distance = Speed * Time

Distance of minivan = 50*(x+1) = 50x+50

Distance of motorcycle = 60*x = 60x

As the distance is same, the two Eqn will be equal.

60x=50x+50\\60x-50x=50\\ 10x=50

Dividing both sides by 10;

\frac{10x}{10}=\frac{50}{10}\\x=5\\

Time taken by motorcycle = 5 hours

It take 5 hours for the motorcycle to make the trip.
