Answer:

Speed of Car A is 80 km/h   and speed of Car B is 60 km/h.

Step-by-step explanation:

let v1 be speed of car A and v2 be speed of car B.

Then According to Question,

If they move in the same direction, then Car A will travel an ( x + 280 ) km while Car B will travel an x km. They both cover this in 14 hr.

using speed distance formula, we get

v1 × 14 = x + 280

v2 × 14 = x

v1=\frac{x}{14}+\frac{280}{14}=\frac{x}{14}+20

v2=\frac{x}{14}

v1 = v2 + 20 .................(1)

Moving towards each other, they'll collectively cover 280 km in 2 hours.

2 × (v1 + v2) = 280

2 × (v2 + 20 + v2) = 280   (from eqn (1))

v2 + v2 + 20 = 140

2 × v2 = 120

v2 = 60

v1 = 60 + 20 = 80

Therefore, Speed of Car A is 80 km/h   and speed of Car B is 60 km/h.

Answer:

152 square inches

Step-by-step Explanation:

To answer this, please look at the picture below. We can find the area by separating and combine the value of areas after calculating three values for each areas. (Notice that when we separate them, we get three rectangles which we can use the formula of width × length)

We should get 80+48+24 which add up to 152.

In case if you are confused which parts you don't understand in these photos, you can ask in the comment.
