If 5 ml of 0.5 M NaOH is added to 20 ml each of Buffer b and buffer c. Both of the buffers' pHs won't change since a buffer has a property that if it is added to another solution, acidic or basic, its pH won't change.

Can someone help me with this?
IrinaVladis [17]

B. The rate of particle collisions increased with a higher temperature.

An <em>inference </em>is a guess that you make <em>based on an observation</em>. You can’t see the particles, so you are guessing (a) that they exist and (b) that the rate of their collisions increases with a higher temperature.

A, C, and D are all incorrect because they are <em>observations</em> that you make.

katrin2010 [14]

Answer:Tthe liquid in a graduated cylinder curves up at the edge where the liquid meets the wall of the cylinder. This curve in the liquid is called the meniscus and is used to determiine the volume of liquid in a graduated cylinder by observing the measurement tick closest to the bottom of the meniscus.

The half-life for the radioactive decay of ce−141 is 32.5 days. if a sample has an activity of 3.8 μci after 162.5 d have elapse
Umnica [9.8K]
Answer : 121.5 <span>μCi

Explanation : We have Ce-141 half life given as 32.5 days so if the activity is 3.8 </span><span>μci after 162.5 days of time elapsed we have to find the initial activity.

We can use this formula;

</span>\frac{N}{ N_{0} } =  e^{-( \frac{0.693 X  T_{2} }{T_{1}})

3.8 / N_{0} = e^ ((0.693 X 162.5 ) / 32.5) = 121.5
<span>
On solving we get, The initial activity as 121.5  </span>μci
