Answer:

The Mean is 17.5

The median is 19

The mode is 19

The range is 22

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean is the average where you add all the numbers and then divide the sum by the number of them

The median is the middle value in the list of numbers arranged from smallest to greatest

The mode is the most repeated number

The range is the difference between the greatest and the smallest numbers

From the figure the numbers are:

6, 10, 10 , 11, 11, 13, 18, 19, 19, 19, 20, 20, 21, 23, 23, 27, 28

- Find their sum

∵ Their sum = 298

∵ They are 17 numbers

∵ Mean = sum ÷ number

∴ Mean = 298 ÷ 17 = 17.529411

- Round it to the nearest tenth

∴ Mean = 17.5

∵ The median is the middle number

- The middle of 17 numbers is 9th number because (17+1) ÷ 2 = 9,

that means before it 8 numbers and after it 8 numbers

∵ The value of the 9th number is 19

∴ Median = 19

∵ The mode is the most repeated number

∵ 19 is repeated 3 times

∵ No other number repeated more than 3 times

∴ Mode = 19

∵ The smallest number = 6

∵ The greatest number = 28

∵ Range = greatest number - smallest number

∴ Range = 28 - 6

∴ Range = 22

Hey, can I please get some help with this? It shouldn’t be too hard, thanks!
Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

  • (x -3)(x+3)(2x +1)
  • (x -1)(x +1)(x +3)
  • (2x -1)(2x +1)(x -4)

Step-by-step explanation:

A) 2x³ +x² -18x -9 = x²(2x +1) -9(2x +1) = (x² -9)(2x +1) = (x -3)(x+3)(2x +1)

__

B) x³ +3x² -x -3 = x²(x +3) -1(x +3) = (x² -1)(x +3) = (x -1)(x +1)(x +3)

__

C) 4x³ -16x² -x +4 = 4x²(x -4) -1(x -4) = (4x² -1)(x -4) = (2x -1)(2x +1)(x -4)

_____

In each case, the third-level factoring mentioned in step 4 is the factoring of the difference of squares: a² -b² = (a -b)(a +b).

_____

The step-by-step is exactly what you need to do. It is simply a matter of following those instructions. You do have to be able to recognize the common factors of a pair of terms. That will be the GCF of the numbers and the least powers of the common variables.
