The Thrill amusement park charges an entry fee of $40 and an additional $5 per ride, x. The Splash water park charges an entry f

ee of $60 and an additional $3 per ride, x. Based on this information, which system of equations could be used to determine the solution where the cost per ride of the two amusement parks, y, is the same?

Answer: The two equations are:
y = 5x + 40
y = 3x + 60

In each problem, you are given the cost per ride. That is the slope, it goes in front of the x.

Then, you are also given the entry fee. That is the y-intercept, it goes at the end of the equation.

Now, the equations are in slope intercept form. Y = MX + B

Graphing the equations will give an answer of (10, 90)
This means for both plans 10 rides will cost $90.

Verify the basic identity. What is the domain of validity? cot theta = cos theta csc theta
Kay [80]
Cot x = cos x csc x
1/tan x = cosx (1/sin x)
1/(sin x / cos x) = cos x / sin x
cos x / sin x = cos x / sin x

The domain of validity is all real number values of x except for sin x = 0.

What two whole numbers is 29−−√ between?: 3 and 4 4 and 5 5 and 6 6 and 7
jolli1 [7]

The two whole numbers are 5 and 6 ⇒ 3rd answer

Step-by-step explanation:

To prove that a square root number lies between which two consecutive integers do that

  • Find a square number less than the number under the root
  • Find a square number greater than the number under the root
  • Find the square root of the square numbers, they will be the two integers that the root lies between them

∵ The number is \sqrt{29}

- Find a square number less than 29

∵ 25 is a square number

∵ 25 is less than 29

- Find a square number greater than 29

∵ 36 is a square number

∵ 36 is greater than 29

∴ 25 < 29 < 36

- Take √ for each number

∴ \sqrt{25} < \sqrt{29} < \sqrt{36}

∵ \sqrt{25}  = 5

∵ \sqrt{36}  = 6

∴ 5 <  \sqrt{29}  < 6

The two whole numbers are 5 and 6
