The answer to your question is Gallium, or GA. The trick is to always check if they are along the same vertical column. This indicates that they have the same Valence electrons, which is involved in all the bonding and define the electronegative status of the atom.

Remark

I can't understand why this was reported. It's a perfectly straight forward question, unless someone recognized it as part of a test.

I know that the answer is supposed to be Ga, but in many ways Boron resembles Carbon than it does Ga. Be that as it may, the answer you want is Ga.

Balance the following oxidation-reduction reactions, which take place in acidic solution, by using the "half-reaction" method.
LuckyWell [14K]
First identify which is being oxidized and reduced. In this case, the Mg is being oxidized and the Hg is being reduced.

Mg --> Mg+2

<span>Hg+2 --> Hg+1
</span>
Then you have to balance each half reaction first with electrons before adding them together in one equation

Mg ⇒ Mg^{+2}  +  2e^{-1}

and

2Hg^{+2} + 2e^{-1} ⇒ Hg_{2} ^{+2}

and then combine them together to form

Mg + 2 Hg^{+2} + 2e ⇒ Mg^{+2} + 2e ^{-} + 2 Hg^{+1} + 2 e^{-}

It isn't necessary to keep the electrons but its essential to know how many there are in order to know how many are in the equation in order to calculate the reaction energy. Note: A<span>dd H+ and H2O to balance the H's and O's in acidic solution if needed.</span>

A well-insulated cup of water is too hot to make tea, so you mixed it with an equal amount of cool water to lower the temperatur
natulia [17]

Answer:

The entropy of the final solution decreases, as the reaction disorder is less.

Explanation:

The higher the temperature, the greater the heat of the reaction and the greater the disorder it has, so the entropy will increase ... But this is not the case, since the solution cools, decreasing the entropy proportionally.
