Answer:

The measures of the two angles are 78° and 102°

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>When two lines intersects at a point, then pairs of linear angles are formed</em>

  • The linear pair of angles are adjacent angles the sum of their measures is 180°

∵ The two angles form a linear pair

∴ The sum of the two angles = 180°

∵ The measure of one of them = 24° more than the measure

    of the other angle

→ Assume that the smaller one is x, then the greater one is

   x + 24, add them up and equate their sum by 180°

∵ x + x + 24 = 180

→ Add the like term in the left side

∴ 2x + 24 = 180

→ Subtract 24 from both sides

∴ 2x + 24 - 24 = 180 - 24

∴ 2x = 156

→ Divide both sides by 2

∴ 2x/2 = 156/2

∴ x = 78°

∴ The smaller angle = 78°

∵ The larger angle is x + 24

∴ The larger angle = 78 + 24 = 102°

The measures of the two angles are 78° and 102°

Ksju [112]

Answer:

a² = 144

b² = 25

c² = 169

c = 13

Step-by-step explanation:

• a² = 12×12

= 144

• b² = 5×5

= 25

• a² + b² = c²

= 144 + 25 = 169

• c = _/169

= 13

For an Isosceles triangle of base b and congruent sides, x units long, what is the range of angle measures for the angle measure
olga2289 [7]

Answer:

the desired range is 0° < angle < 180°

Step-by-step explanation:

If 2x were just slightly less than b, then the angle opposite the base would be just less than 180 degrees.

The larger the value of x, the further the intersection of the two congruent sides is moved away from the base b.  The angle between these two congruent sides would approach but never equal zero.

Thus, the desired range is 0° < angle < 180°

Can you help me!!!!!!!!
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

Yes, this is A Linear Function!

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a linear function beacuse linear functions are straight lines on the graph as you may know. So when we graph these numbers it turns up as a straight increasing linear line.
