In 1999 an estimated 850000 U.s students between the ages of 5 and 17 were home schooled and this represented a significant amount of children within that age in America many average families who cannot afford sending their children to public schools opt to home school their children.
Homeschooling is the education of children of school age at home or in other places that are not defined as a school area. during the inception of the idea of homeschooling most families that participated and still participating are the black families of mostly African descent. homeschooling has its advantages and disadvantages. its advantages is that it is affordable and the child gets to study under special kind of curriculum. the disadvantage is that the child lacks socialization and in some cases no motivation since there is no healthy competition between the child and his mates
