The area of study known as the history of mathematics is primarily an investigation into the origen of discoveries in mathematics and , to a lesser extent , an investigation into the mathematical methods and notation of the past. Before the modern age and the worldwide spread of knowledge , written examples of new mathematical developments have come to light only in a few locales. The most ancient mathematical texts available are Plimpton 322 (babylonian c.1900B.C), The Rhind mathematical Papyrus (Egyptian c.2000-1800BC) and The Moscow mathematical Papyrus (Egyptian c.1890BC).

Calculate the formula mass of Cuso4
Mandarinka [93]
Answer: 159.61 g/mol

Copper has a molar mass of 63.546 g/mol

Sulfur has a molar mass of 32.065 g/mol

Oxygen has a molar mass of 16 g/mol, multiply by 4 and it is 16 x 4 = 64 g/mol

63.546 + 32.065 + 64 = 159.61 g/mol

Sholpan [36]
Entropy is a measure of chaos or disorder in a system. For the first one, the system with the highest entropy is a cup of water at 0 degress centigrade.  For the second question, the system with the lowest entropy is  sugar crystals in 95 degrees centigrade cup of coffee.

A radar gun records the speed of a projectile to be 120.090 m/s. How many significant digits are present in this measurement?
Olegator [25]

Answer:

6

Explanation:

Significant figures:

The given measurement have six significant figures 120.090.

All non-zero digits are consider significant figures like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

Leading zeros are not consider as a significant figures. e.g. 0.03 in this number only one significant figure present which is 3.

Zero between the non zero digits are consider significant like 104 consist of three significant figures.

The zeros at the right side e.g 2400 are also significant. There are four significant figures are present.

In 120.090 the zero before and after 9 are also significant.
