If we look at the first spinner, we see that there are 4 sections. Each section has an even or an odd number on it. So, the probability that the spinner will land on an even or an odd number is 1.
In the second problem, we see the same spinner. There are four sections and two of those sections have an odd number. So there is a probability of 2/4 that the spinner will land on an odd number.

31=2/4 or 1/2 think there are two numbers out of the 4 numbers that are odd..... But take the simplified one of that... I.E. take 1/2

32. I would circle 1/2 again..... The question tests you... REMEMBER SIMPLIFY

How can you use rates to determine wheather a situation is a proportional relationship
svp [43]

If the rate is a constant, the relationship is proportional. (The rate is the constant of porportionality.)

_____

For two or more points on the function curve, divide the dependent variable value by the independent one. If you get the same result in every case, the relationship is porportional.

___

Note

For some non-proportional relationships, it is possible to find points on the graph that will pass the above test. If you suspect the relationship is actually not one of proportionality, try more points. Check also to make sure that (0, 0) is on the curve.

Y=x+4
Y=2x+6
Solve for x and y
gladu [14]

Answer:

X = -2

y = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Substitute y=x + 4 in the second equation to find x

x+4 = 2x + 6

subtract x from both sides

4 = x + 6

subtract 6 from both sides

-2 = x

put -2 in for x in the first equation

y= 2
