Answer:

The problem does not work.

Step-by-step explanation:

The plane with speed of 31 mph will cover 640 miles in \frac{640}{31} = 20.64 hours.

Now, it burns 5 gallons of gas every 3 minutes i.e. 0.05 hours.

So, it will burn in 20.64 hours \frac{5 \times 20.64}{0.05} = 2064 gallons.

Now, the helicopter with speed of 45 mph will cover 640 miles in \frac{640}{45} = 14.22 hours.

Now, it burns 7 gallons of gas every 5 minutes i.e. 0.083 hours.

So, it will burn in 14.22 hours \frac{7 \times 14.22}{0.083} = 1194.48 gallons.

But both of them starts with only 80 gallons of fuel.

Therefore, the problem does not work. (Answer)

Refer to the triangle below. If a = 4 and b = 6, solve for c. show work Also, give the unsimplified radical form answer and then
9966 [12]

Look at the image below where I labeled the sides

To solve this you must use Pythagorean theorem:

a^{2} +b^{2} =c^{2}

a and b are the legs (the sides that form a perpendicular/right angle)

c is the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle)

In this case...

a = 4

b = 6

c = unknown

^^^Plug these numbers into the theorem

4^{2} +6^{2} =c^{2}

simplify

16 + 36 = x^{2}

52 = x^{2}

To remove the square from x take the square root of both sides to get you...

√52 = x

^^^Unsimplified radical

2√13

^^^Simplified radical

7.21

^^^Rounded to hundedths

Hope this helped!

Answer:

It is impossible becuase it would not eqaul the numbers a regular triangles would have. A triangle has to equal a certain number and this number does not make a traingle.
