1A. A = 1/2bh
1/2 x 4 x 3.46
A = 6.92 square ft

1B. A = bh
4 x 6
A = 24 square feet

1C. 24 + 6.92 = 30.92 square feet

The surface area of those 2 pieces is 30.92 square feet.

2A. SA = (6.92 x 2) + (24x3)
13.84 + 72
SA = 85.84 Square feet
It would take 85.84 square feet if fabric to make the tent.

3A. V = lwh
1/2 x 2 x 7/2
7/2 cubic inches

You can fit 3 1/2 cubes with side lengths of 1 in because each cube would be 1 cubic inch.

3B. The volume of a cube with edges that are 1/2 in. would be 1/2/ x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/8 cubic inch.

You would divide 7/2 into groups of 1/8 by multiplying 7/2 by the reciprocal of 1/8.

7/2 x 8/1 = 28 cubes.

At 8in to 250 feet the skyscraper converts to the following. 1.6 in/8 in x 250ft = 50 ft long 2.8in/8in x 250ft = 87.5 ft wide 11.2in/8in x 250ft = 350 ft high You get this because every 8 in is 250 feet so you need to calculate the ratio of scale to that 8in per 250 feet.

A fruit stand has to decide what to charge for their produce. They need \$10$10dollar sign, 10 for 4 apples and 4 oranges. They
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:

 no

Step-by-step explanation:

The prices are inconsistent, so there is no unique price that can be set for either an apple or an orange that will give the total prices indicated.

__

The first relation can be written as ...

 $10 = 4A +4O

 $10 = 4(A +O) . . . . factor out 4

 $2.50 = A +O . . . . divide by 4

The second relation can be written as ...

 $12 = 6A +6O

 $12 = 6(A +O) . . . . factor out 6

 $2 = A +O . . . . . . . divide by 6

These two relations give different prices for 1 apple and 1 orange. There is no price that can be set for either fruit that will give this result.

No unique prices can be assigned.
