$3x+6y=30 2x+7y=29$ 

$6x+12y=60 2x+7y=29$ 

$6x+12y=60 6x+21y=87$ 

$-9y=-27$ 

$y=3$ 

Substitute y=3 into any of the two equations above 

$6x+12*3=60$ 

$6x+36=60$ 

$6x=60-36$ 

$6x=24$ 

$x= 24 / 6$ 

$x=4$ 

$x=4 y=3$
