Answer:

1920 gallons of water

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question; the amount of water is proportional to volume of the tank

i.e amount of water = volume of the tank

in a tropical fish;

3000 gallons of water = 12.5 m³     ----- Equation (1)

However, in the  measurement of  shark tank, we have

length = 20cm = 0.2 meters

width = 4 meters

Height = 10 meters

How many gallons of water can the shark tank hold?

From the measurement of  shark tank, we can calculate the volume;

The volume of the tank = Length × width × height

Volume of the tank = 0.2 × 4 × 10 = 8 m³

since, the amount of water is proportional to volume of the tank

y ( Gallons of water ) = 8 m³    -------- Equation (2)

Equating equation 1 and 2; we have:

3000 gallons of water = 12.5 m³

y ( Gallons of water ) = 8 m³

y ( Gallons of water ) ×  12.5 m³  = 3000 gallons of water × 8 m³

y ( Gallons of water )  = \frac{3000 gallons of water * 8 m^3  }{12.5m^3}

y ( Gallons of water )  = \frac{24000}{12.5}

y ( Gallons of water )  = 1920 gallons of water

Thus, the shark tank can hold 1920 gallons of water

Artist 52 [7]

Solution: Let "m" be the number of marbles  Santana has.

First he wants to give one-tenth of his marbles to his brother. That is:

\frac{1}{10} \times m

He also wants to give 8 more marbles to his brother.

Therefore,

Santana wants to give 8 + \frac{m}{10} marbles to his brother

Find the gcf and lcm of 20x^2y^3 60x^3y^2| 40xy^2
LenaWriter [7]
Gcf is the grouping of all the factors common to both groups
lcm is a group of all the factors that has all the elements of both groups

factor
20x^2y^3=2*2*5*x*x*y*y*y
60x^3y^2=2*2*3*5*x*x*x*y*y
40xy^2=2*2*2*5*x*y*y

the GCF=2*2*5*x*y*y=20xy^2
the LCM=2*2*2*3*5*x*x*x*y*y*y=120x^3y^3
