Answer:

1920 gallons of water

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question; the amount of water is proportional to volume of the tank

i.e amount of water = volume of the tank

in a tropical fish;

3000 gallons of water = 12.5 m³     ----- Equation (1)

However, in the  measurement of  shark tank, we have

length = 20cm = 0.2 meters

width = 4 meters

Height = 10 meters

How many gallons of water can the shark tank hold?

From the measurement of  shark tank, we can calculate the volume;

The volume of the tank = Length × width × height

Volume of the tank = 0.2 × 4 × 10 = 8 m³

since, the amount of water is proportional to volume of the tank

y ( Gallons of water ) = 8 m³    -------- Equation (2)

Equating equation 1 and 2; we have:

3000 gallons of water = 12.5 m³

y ( Gallons of water ) = 8 m³

y ( Gallons of water ) ×  12.5 m³  = 3000 gallons of water × 8 m³

y ( Gallons of water )  = \frac{3000 gallons of water * 8 m^3  }{12.5m^3}

y ( Gallons of water )  = \frac{24000}{12.5}

y ( Gallons of water )  = 1920 gallons of water

Thus, the shark tank can hold 1920 gallons of water

A piece of wire is 7/8m long broke into two piece one piece is 1/4 m long how long is the other one ?
hjlf

Answer: 5/8m

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, we are informed that a piece of wire is 7/8m long and broken into two piece. We are further told that one piece is 1/4 m long.

The length of the other piece of wire would be calculated as:

= 7/8 - 1/4

= 7/8 - 2/8

= 5/8m
