Answer: Daughter cells have the same amount of DNA as the parent cell and a higher surface area/volume ratio than the parent cell.

Explanation:

Cell division is the process by which a cells divide to create two daughter cells. The surface area to the volume ratio gets smaller as the cell gets larger. So the cell has to die or split into smaller cells with favorable surface area/volume ratios. But as cells increase in size, the surface area and volume do not increase proportionally to length. So when a cell increases its diameter, surface area to volume ratio decreases, and this relationship restricts the size of cells.

An example of cell division is mitosis. It involves doubling the DNA and dividing the nucleus into two, so that each daughter cell created receives the same amount of DNA as the mother cell.

What is the structure of the cell membrane and how does it limit particle movement?
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

Explanation:

The structure of a cell membrane is the outer layer of the cell and it contain various cell organelles which are present in both animal and plant cell. It's act as a barrier between the outside environment and cellular content of the cell. It comprises of phospholipid bilayer and integral protein which allow molecules to pass through the membrane and it limits the movement of molecules in the membrane because of it's hydrophobic interior which make the passage of molecules to be selectively permeable.

Dvinal [7]

Answer:

(A) RNA like DNA is a carrier of genetic information and contains the nitrogen bases adenine, guanine and cytosine.

Explanation:

RNA is a single stranded molecule which is replicating molecule that plays its role evolution of different stages. DNA is double stranded molecule that is stable under alkaline conditions and perform various functions in different body parts. RNA provides template on which DNA nucleotides assemble.

Cellulases are enzymes capable of breaking down cellulose, releasing molecules of glucose. to which category of organic macromol
erastovalidia [21]

Cellulose belongs to carbohydrates.

Cellulose is classified as a carbohydrate, a polysaccharide, as they are formed of the glucose monomers chain. It is the prime component in the walls of the cells of plants, assisting the plants to remain upright and stiff. Humans cannot digest cellulose due to the absence of cellulase, however, it is essential in the diet as fiber.

However, the animals like sheep, cows, and horses can digest cellulose that is why they can acquire nutrients and energy they require from the grass.
