Answer:

We have 0.117 moles Mg^2+ and 0.234 moles Cl-

The number of Mg^2+ ions = 7.04 *10^22 ions

The number of Cl- ions = 1.4*10^23 ions

Explanation:

Step 1: Data given

Volume of magnesium chloride = 63.1 mL

Concentration of solution = 1.85 M

Step 2: Calculate moles MgCl2

Moles MgCl2 = concentration * volume

Moles MgCl2 = 1.85 M * 0.0631 L

Moles MgCl2 = 0.117 moles

Step 3: Calculate moles of ions

MgCl2 → Mg^2+ + 2Cl-

For 1 mol MgCl2 we have 1 mol Mg^2+ and 2 moles Cl-

For 0.117 moles MgCl2 we have 0.117 moles Mg^2+ and 2*0.117 = 0.234 moles Cl-

The number of Mg^2+ ions = 0.117 * 6.022 *10^23 = 7.04 *10^22 ions

The number of Cl- ions = 1.4*10^23 ions

What is the product of the reaction of hydrobromic acid and 2-bromo-1-butene in the presence of acid and ether?
sergejj [24]

Answer: The major product of the reaction between Hydrobromic Acid and 2-bromo-1-butene in the presence of ether and acid is 2,2-dibromobutane.

Explanation:

The mechanism of the reaction is supported by the Markovnikov's rule which explains that in the addition reaction of alkenes by hydrogen-halogen compounds, the incoming halogen substituent goes to the more substituted Carbon. It can also be stated that incoming hydrogen atom goes to the Carbon with more Hydrogen atoms.

The only case when the reverse of Markovnikov's rule takes place is when Hydrogen peroxide is present and the addition reagent is HBr.

This case is not like that and it simply follows the Markovnikov's rule.

I'll add an attachment of the reaction to this now.

magine that an uncharged pith ball is brought into the electrostatic field of a charged rod. The side of the pith ball closest t
ivanzaharov [21]
Answer: option D. be given a positive charge produced by the movement of electrons to the other end of the ball.

Explanation:

This phenomenon is called electrostatic induction.

The excess of negative charge on the end of the rod will repel the electrons on the side of the pith ball that have been approached to it.

Then the electrons on the pith ball will move far away from this end with it will be left an excess of positive charge.

In this way the rod has induced that the ball acquires a positive charge on one end and a negative charge on the other end.
