Ribosomes are each of the cytoplasmic organelles of a cell composed of water, proteins and RNA, and whose function is to participate in the synthesis or manufacture of proteins. Ribosomes function is to be the cellular translation centers that make possible the expression of genes, which means that they are responsible for synthesizing proteins from the information contained in the DNA, which arrives transcribed to the ribosomes in the form of messenger RNA (mRNA).
