Answer:

Correct answer is C (Energy radiated by a body is in the form of packets called quanta)

Explanation:

Plank's Theory:

Planks theory also known as Plank's quantum theory was given in 1900. According to Max plank's,  "light does not travel in continues form but it travel in discrete form in the form of packet's of energy and each packet of energy is known as photon or quanta".

In 1890 Plank's was working on black body radiation that time he realized that the amount of energy radiated from a black body actually lies in the middle of the electromagnetic spectrum, but according to Classical mechanics it hast to lie in the ultraviolet region of electromagnetic spectrum. He later suggest that classical theory of light is not perfect and light does not travel in continues form or wave form but it travel in the form of packets of energy. He suggest that the energy of quanta (packet of energy) is directly proportional to frequency.

so correct answer is C.
