Bell is the tallest person at 52 inches, Con is the shortest person at 42 inches. So  54 - 42 = 12

The scale on a drawing of a swimming pool is 1cm=4m. What is the actual length of the pool if it's 10cm long on the drawing
Usimov [2.4K]

1 cm was multiplied by ten, so wee need to do that on the other side too.

1 times 10 = 10 cm, so 4 times 10 = 40 meters,
So your answer is 40 meters. Hope it helps!

Simplify and leave in radical form. <br> 8√x^2 y^6
IrinaK [193]

Step-by-step explanation:

\sqrt[8]{ {x}^{2}  {y}^{6} }  \\  \\  = ( {x}^{2} {y}^{6}  )^{ \frac{1}{8} }  \\  \\  =  {x}^{2 \times \frac{1}{8}} {y}^{6\times \frac{1}{8}}  \\  \\  = x^{\frac{1}{4}} {y}^{3\times \frac{1}{4}}  \\  \\   = x^{\frac{1}{4}} {y}^{\frac{3}{4}}  \\  \\   =  \sqrt[4]{x {y}^{3} }  \\

find the number of running and passing plays using substitution method 110 plays 3 yards per run 7 yards per pass total yards 37
Zinaida [17]

Let x be the number of running plays

Y  be the number of passing plays

Since the total plays is 110

 X + y = 110

And total yard is 378

3x + 7y = 378

Using the first equation

X = 110 – y and substitute to the 2nd equation

3(110 – y) + 7y = 378

And solve for y

Y = 12

Substitute to eqution 1

X = 110 – 12 = 98
