A charged rod carrying a negative charge is brought near two spheres that are in contact with each other but insulated from the

ground. If the two spheres are then separated, what kind of charge will be on the spheres?

Answer:

The sphere near the charged rod will be positive while the other sphere will be negative.

Explanation:

Due to electrostatic charges on the two spheres, which are uniformly distributed, that is they have equal number electron and proton uniformly distributed.

When a negatively charged rod is brought near the two spheres, the electrons on the sphere which is in direct contact with the negatively charged rod will be repelled leaving only proton which is positively charged. Also the repelled electrons move into the second sphere and this second sphere becomes negative due to excess electron in it.

A car is traveling at 7.1m/s accelerates 4.3 m/s^2 to reach a speed of 16.0 m/s how long does it take for this acceleration to o
Bond [772]

Answer

2.06977 seconds

Explanation

Acceleration, a, is the rate of change of velocity

a = (v-u)/t

 where v and u are final and initial velocities respectively.

4.3 = (16.0 - 7.1)/t

4.3 = 8.9/t

t = 8.9/4.3

 = 2.06977 seconds

A straight segment of wire 35.0 cm long carrying a current of 2.60 A is in a uniform magnetic field. The segment makes an angle
den301095 [7]

Answer:

Magnetic field, B = 0.275 T

Explanation:

Given that,

Length of the wire, L = 35 cm = 0.35 m

Current carried in the wire, I = 2.6 A

The segment makes an angle of 53∘ with the direction of the magnetic field, \theta=53^{\circ}

Magnetic force, F = 0.2 N

To find,

The magnitude of the magnetic field.

Solution,

The magnetic force acting on the wire is given by :

F=ILBsin\theta

\theta is the angle between the length of wire and the magnetic field.

0.2=2.6\times 0.35\times B\times sin(53)

B = 0.275 T

Therefore, the magnitude of the magnetic field is 0.275 T. Hence, this is the required solution.

How do abiotic and biotic factors in Mono Lake compare to those in the ecosystem in which you live?
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

Biotic factors are the living component of an environment while abiotic factors are the non living component of an environment.

Biotic factors of Mono lake include plants, animals, fungi, algae and bacteria

Abiotic factors of Mono lake include sunlight, temperature, moisture, wind or water currents, soil type, and nutrient availability.

While the biotic and abiotic factors on Land inhabited by humans including Me are :

Biotic factors-Plants ,animals, bacteria

Abiotic factors-Sunlight, heat/ temperature, Climate, weather, water sources.

In an atom of hydrogen the orbit radius is given by the formula:
r = n² · α₀

where:
n = number of orbit = 15
α₀ = Bohr radius (innermost radius) = 0.529 Â

Since d = 2 · r, we can write:
d = n² · d₀
 = 15² · 1.06
 = 238.5 Â

Hence, the diameter of the fifteenth orbit of the hydrogen atom is 238.5 Â.
