Answer:

The height of the tower is 141.74 meters.

Step-by-step explanation:

See the attached diagram.

Let the position of the tower os AB with A as the base and B is the top.

Now, angle of elevation of point B from point C is 50°, and the from point D is 40°, and hence, CD = 50 meters,

Now, from Δ ABC, \tan 50 = \frac{AB}{AC} = \frac{x}{AC}

⇒ AC = \frac{x}{\tan 50} = 0.839x .......... (1)

Again, from Δ ABD,  \tan 40 = \frac{AB}{AD} = \frac{x}{AD}

⇒ AD = \frac{x}{\tan 40} =1.192x .......... (2)

Now, DC = AD - AC

⇒ 50 = 1.192x - 0.839x

⇒ 50 = 0.353x

⇒ x = 141.74 meters.

Hence, the height of the tower is 141.74 meters. (Answer)

Answer:

49.6

Step-by-step explanation:

A = πr2, (Pi r-squared)

A = (3.14)(8)2

A = (3.14) (64)

A = 198.4

but you need to take 1/4th of that since you are only looking at 1/4th of the circle so,

.25 x 198.4 = 49.6

A colony of bees doubles in size every month. If there are initially 5000 bee, create a model for the bee population
Temka [501]

we know that the colony is doubling, namely the rate of growth is 100% of whatever is existent, thus

\textit{Amount of Population Growth} \\\\ A=Pe^{rt}\qquad \begin{cases} A=\textit{accumulated amount}\\ P=\textit{initial amount}\dotfill &5000\\ r=rate\to 100\%\to \frac{100}{100}\dotfill &1\\ t=\textit{elapsed time}\dotfill &t\\ \end{cases} \\\\\\ A = 5000e^{1\cdot t}\implies \boxed{A = 5000e^t}

A(c−b)=d solve for c
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

The solution to this equation could not be determined.

Step-by-step explanation:

Simplifying

a(c + -1b) = d

Reorder the terms:

a(-1b + c) = d

(-1b * a + c * a) = d

(-1ab + ac) = d

Solving

-1ab + ac = d

Solving for variable 'a'.

Move all terms containing a to the left, all other terms to the right.

Combine like terms: d + -1d = 0

-1ab + ac + -1d = 0

The solution to this equation could not be determined.

HELP ME OUT PLEASE!!!!
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

(3,-4)

Step-by-step explanation:

There is a graphing calculator called desmos that can help you answer questions like this, but, if you don't want to use that, you can just make a graph and imagine the transformation. Remember, when you reflect something over an axis, it is like you are folding the graph along the axis and your new point will be on the other side.
