A stuntman is being pulled along a rough road at a constant velocity by a cable attached to a moving truck. The cable is paralle

l to the ground. The mass of the stuntman is 112 kg, and the coefficient of kinetic friction between the road and him is 0.876. Find the tension in the cable.

Answer:

T = 1633N

Explanation:

The weight of the man is given by m×g =112×9.8= 1097.6N

Coefficient of Kinetic Friction = frictional force / Normal reaction ( Weight of object)

The coefficient of Kinetic Friction= Tan A

Where A is the angle of inclination

The angle of inclination is Tan^-1{0.876} = 41.21°

By identity sin A = Opposite( weight)/ hypothenus ( Tension)

Hence the tension is T = 1097.6/sin 41.21 =

T = 1633N

What is the instantaneous speed of the monkey at time t=5s?
bezimeni [28]
I’m assuming we’re suppose to get some kind of graph but, Instantaneous speed is the speed that is happening right now. Like driving a car at 15k/h. The instantaneous speed of the car 15k/h. On the graph, at 5s. Wherever the line is, will tell you what the speed is.

At an air show, a stunt pilot performs a vertical loop-the-loop in a circle of radius 3.63 x 103 m. During this performance the
san4es73 [151]

Answer:

189 m/s

Explanation:

The pilot will experience weightlessness when the centrifugal force, F equals his weight, W.

So, F = W

mv²/r = mg

v² = gr

v = √gr where  v = velocity, g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s² and r = radius of loop = 3.63 × 10³ m

So, v = √gr

v = √(9.8 m/s² × 3.63 × 10³ m)

v = √(35.574 × 10³ m²/s²)

v = √(3.5574 × 10⁴ m²/s²)

v = 1.89 × 10² m/s

v = 189 m/s
