An engineer is designing a runway for a witch. Several brooms will use the runway and the engineer must design it so that it is
jonny [76]

Answer:

1170 m

Explanation:

Given:

a = 3.30 m/s²

v₀ = 0 m/s

v = 88.0 m/s

x₀ = 0 m

Find:

x

v² = v₀² + 2a(x - x₀)

(88.0 m/s)² = (0 m/s)² + 2 (3.30 m/s²) (x - 0 m)

x = 1173.33 m

Rounded to 3 sig-figs, the runway must be at least 1170 meters long.

On an unknown planet in the outer-reaches of the solar system, a pendulum with a 12 g bob and a string length of 4 m oscillates
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

The acceleration due to gravity (g) on this planet is 39.44 m/s²

<h3>What is solar system?</h3>

Solar system consists of all the planets and the most importantly the center of the solar system is Sun.

Given is an unknown planet in the outer-reaches of the solar system, a pendulum with a 12 g bob and a string length of 4 m oscillates with a period of 2 seconds.

The time period of the pendulum is

T = 2π √l/g

Squaring both sides, we get

l/g = T² / 4π²

g = 4π²l/ T²

Substitute Time period T = 2s and  length l = 4m,  we get

g = 4π²x 4/ 2²

g =39.44 m/s²

Thus, the acceleration due to gravity on this planet is 39.44 m/s²

Physicist Max Planck showed how objects like stars give off different colors based on their temperature. What color are the hott
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

the brightest found are Blue - White with

Explanation:

The energy emission of objects increases with their temperature, specifically Wien described the process in an expression

          \lambda_{maximum} T = 2,898 10⁻³

With this expression we can find the temperature of the stars by the color they emit.

Specifically the Sun has a color of 550 nm which corresponds to 5400K

bright stars have a BLUE color corresponding to 7500K

the brightest found are Blue - White with a temperature of 20000K
