25^(n-3)=5^(n+8)
Remember: 25=5²
Therefore:
5^[(n-3)²]=5^(n+8)
5^(2n-6)=5^(n+8)
Then:
2n-6=n+8
2n-n=8+6
n=14

Answer: n=14

25ⁿ ⁻ ³  =  5ⁿ ⁺ ⁸

Make both bases to be equal.

Recall 25 = 5²

(5²)⁽ⁿ ⁻ ³⁾  =  5ⁿ ⁺ ⁸

5²⁽ⁿ ⁻ ³⁾  =  5ⁿ ⁺ ⁸

2*(n - 3) = 2*n - 2*3 = 2n - 6

5²ⁿ ⁻ ⁶  =  5ⁿ ⁺ ⁸

Since the bases which is 5 are equal, that means the powers are the same.

2n - 6 = n + 8,    take the n to the left side of the equation

2n - n = 8 + 6

n = 14

I hope this helps.

Answer:

*read explanation for both questions*

Step-by-step explanation:

So the first one asks <em>”the first number in a pattern is 6, the pattern follows the rule ’</em><em>multiply by 4’ </em><em>“</em>

The question has the answer to it, so each number would be multiplied by 4. So we have the first one which is 6, next we multiply 6 x 4 = 24. Then we multiply 24 x 4 = 96. and finally you multiply 96 x 4 = 384.

That’s the pattern fo the first one

The second one asks <em>“The shapes have been sorted into two groups. explain what attribute was used to sort the shapes.”</em>

<em />

When we’re looking for attributes, look for what they have in common. For me, I see that Group 1 has the smaller versions of the same shapes in Group 2. So that could be the attribute the question is asking for.

The equation of the transformation of the exponential function <em>y</em> = 2ˣ in the form <em>y</em> = A·2ˣ + k, obtained from the simultaneous found using the points on the graph is <em>y</em> = (-2)·2ˣ + 3

<h3>What is an exponential equation?</h3>

An exponential equation is an equation that has exponents that consists of variables.

The given equation is <em>y</em> = 2ˣ

The equation for the transformation is; <em>y</em> = A·2ˣ + k

The points on the graphs are;

(0, 1), (1, -1) and (2, -5)

Plugging the <em>x </em>and <em>y</em>-values to find the value <em>A</em> and <em>k</em> gives  the following simultaneous equations;

When <em>x</em> = 0, <em>y</em> = 1, therefore;

1 = A·2⁰ + k = A + k

1 = A + k...(1)

When <em>x</em> = 1, <em>y</em> = -1, which gives;

-1 = A·2¹ + k

-1 = 2·A + k...(2)

Subtracting equation (1) from equation (2) gives;

-1 - 1 = 2·A - A + k - k

-2 = A

1 = A + k, therefore;

1 = -2 + k

k = 2 + 1 = 3

k = 3

Which gives;

y = -2·2ˣ + 3 = 3 - 2·2ˣ
